Hp Pavilion Dv9000 Fingerprint Sensor Driver
I got my fingerprint reader working on my HP Pavilion dv7 (aka dv7-6c95dx) running Windows 10. I cobbled the method from reading a bunch of other posts. At the top of HP's website go to the menu Support > Software & drivers. HP Pavilion DV9000 Windows 7 Drivers. HP Pavilion DV9000 released by HP with Windows Vista Operating system. Fingerprint: Model with fingerprint driver can. (Windows 8 32/64-bit): Download (or use windows 7 driver) There are 2 applicable graphic drivers, choose base on your specification. For model with AMD graphic, the driver package will automatically install Intel Graphic driver (dual graphic).

I would like to inform you that this issue might occur if the driver for the fingerprint scanner is corrupt. Also, you will need to install the HP simple pass software after installing the finger print driver.
Follow the steps below and check if that helps.
Method 1: I would suggest you to run hardware & devices troubleshooter.
Install printer driver hp officejet. The version-specific option is available so that you can install different driver versions on the same server (a v5.0 driver can coexist with a v5.2 driver). With HP UPD v5.4.5 and higher, you can also install different minor release versions. With earlier versions, this is not possible. Maintenance releases— HP UPD v5.4 and earlier only display Major.Minor version numbers display in the MODEL field, which becomes the printer model name. For example, you cannot install a v5.2.5 driver and v5.2.6 driver on the same server, because these are the same major.minor release version (v5.2).
- Press “Windows key + X” and type “troubleshooting”.
- Select “Troubleshooting”.
- Select “View all” on the top left corner.
- Click “Hardware & devices”
- Follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter.
If issue persists follow below methods.
Method 2: I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the fingerprint reader driver and check if it fixes the issue.
